The 55+ lifestyle you've been looking for!

If you are in touch with Mother Nature, you will love Springton Lake Village. The lake provides habitat for aquatic and terrestrial wildlife. Springton Lake Village has proven to be a very caring community. Residents become acquainted with all of their neighbors, enjoy their company, and share their joys and their sorrows. It is a lifestyle reminiscent of the neighborhoods in which those of the “older generation” grew up. One of the hallmarks of the community is the congeniality that exists among the residents, regardless of when they moved in—either in the original “pioneering” group or subsequently. The bond that has developed among all the residents, strengthened by their ability to dine together on a regular basis, and to gather in celebration, or for entertainment or enrichment programs in the clubhouse (above), is one great advantage of life in a small community—unlike the experience of those who live in larger complexes with an “institutional” feel where a circle of friends is typically limited.
Among the species regularly found on the surface of the reservoir or on its shores are ducks, geese, swans, herons, turtles, deer, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, foxes, shrews, bats, bald eagles, ospreys, great horned owls, hawks, ring-billed gulls, bluebirds, hummingbirds, blue jays, goldfinches, cardinals, crows, starlings, nuthatches, sparrows, blackbirds, mockingbirds, catbirds, grackles, kingfishers, juncos, chickadees, tufted titmice, doves, orioles, woodpeckers, and cedar waxwings.
Another advantage of living in our community is the Case Management Services Program offered by nearby Dunwoody Village, a continuing care retirement community. Dunwoody’s facilities are available to all Springton residents, including the ability to participate in wellness programs, enrichment and entertainment programs, and the use of the game room, the swimming pool, the library, the beauty parlor, etc. The wellness programs provide access to Dunwoody’s primary care physicians, nurses, therapists, specialists (such as dentist, podiatrist, ophthalmologist, etc.), as well as blood tests and inoculations.
No description of Springton Lake Village would be complete without mention of the gorgeous sunsets that residents are privileged to enjoy. Lake views from Springton homes are generally to the west, where the sun sets every day on the opposite side of the lake. In shades of reds and blues, pinks and purples, golds and grays, the water reflects the sky in a burst of color that at times, particularly in the winter months, can take one’s breath away.
